Hi everyone,
If you weren't already aware I have started a second YouTube channel to run alongside my beauty channel. I have been wanting to start this channel to upload mainly 'day in the life' style vlogs. I enjoy making vlogs so much, I love filming my day and looking back at it months later. I usually vlog when I'm doing something exciting like going on holiday, going to concerts and other little adventures with my friends. I think it's so cool that I get to share these exciting things with you guys, my friends and for myself to look back on. I've always loved watching other YouTubers 'day in the life' style vlogs that I decided to make a whole channel dedicated to these vlogs. It's called 'More Mia'. I would also like to upload maybe some blooper videos and extra videos on 'More Mia' too. So if you'd like to check out this channel then click the photo above. I've already uploaded two videos on this channel so catch up on them! I've got another vlog that will be uploaded soon. So if you don't already know about my main channel 'Mia Kate' then let me quickly explain. I upload mainly beauty and makeup tutorials. Here's the type of videos I upload: makeup tutorials, get ready with me, hair styles, fashion, YouTube tag's and much more. I used to upload my vlogs on Mia Kate but I started my channel for beauty videos, not vlogs. I felt people subscribed for beauty videos not for any other type of video so I didn't want to annoy my subscribers with vlogs. That's where the idea for More Mia came about. I hope you guys are enjoying both channels right now as I've been putting in heaps of time and effort into making the best videos and vlogs I can. Thank you for the continued support on my blog and on YouTube. Let me know if you have a YouTube channel below so I can check it out! Hope you all have an amazing weekend. Mia x

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to show you how I got this dramatic, evening makeup look. I also posted a tutorial on my YouTube channel so click the photo below if you'd like to watch it. Let's get into it! First step is to fill in your eyebrows - a very important step in my opinion. I use a Revlon spoolie to brush out my eyebrows. Then using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown and an angled brush from Nude to first outline my brows, leaving the front of my brows with less product. Then adding more product to the end of my eyebrows to extend them and filling in the sparse areas. Once they are filled in to my liking, I use the Benefit Gimme Brow, Brow Mascara in Medium/Deep to keep my eyebrow hairs in place all night. I then used Mac Soft Ochre Pro Longwear Paint Pot to prime my eyelids. I use my finger to spread product from eyelid to eyebrow, making sure it's all blended in. This primer helps keep eyeshadow on all day and makes eyeshadow colours brighter & more pigmented. Then using the eyeshadow colour Coconut Créme from the Too Faced Semi Sweet Palette and the Real Techniques Setting Brush I blended this colour all over the lid to set the primer and stop it from moving underneath the eyeshadows. Now time for the eyeshadow. I start by warming up the crease with Peanut Butter from the same palette. I blend this not-so-neatly around the crease with a fluffy eyeshadow brush from Nude. I use sticky tape on the outer corner of my eye to reduce fall out and create a harsh line. I will take off sticky tape after eyeshadow is complete. Next is to add some darkness. I did this slowly by adding the eyeshadow colour called Truffled which is a dark brown shade. I applied this all over the lid and blended it into the crease with the Zoeva 231 Luxe Petit Crease brush. To really darken the eye and create that dramatic smokey eye look I use the eyeshadow Licorice and apply this with the same Zoeva brush all over the lid. Time for the eyeliner! This is what makes this look so cat-eyed. I used a black pencil all over the upper lash line and extended to the stick tape. I did this quite messily and smudged it out. Ignore the fall out, it will be cleaned up soon! Now I pull off the sticky tape and clean up any fall out with some Simple Micellar Water. I then applied three colours on the lower lash line with the Yuva angled brush. I used Peanut Butter towards the inner corner, Truffled the rest of the way across the lower lash line and Licorice over the top of Truffled; close to my lower lashes. Then to highlight my eye I use Butter Pecon on my brow bone and in the inner corner. And I apply some black pencil liner on my water line & tight line to darken up the look. Time for the skin! Yay! I am using the Models Prefer Liquid Light Brightening Primer to keep my foundation on all day. This primer is super brightening and makes the skin glow. I apply a small amount to my fingers and blend it in with my hands. The foundation I'm using is Nars Sheer Glow in the colour Barcelona Medium 4. I first dot this all over my face with the Eco Tools flat foundation brush. Then BLEND! I use my favourite sponge ever which is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. To conceal and highlight my skin, I use the Naked Skin Concealer by Urban Decay in the colour Light Warm. I apply it to my under eyes, down the bridge of my nose, chin and between my eyebrows/forehead. Then blend with the same sponge. To set my concealer I used the Australis AC on Tour Powder Highlight & Contour Palette with the banana shade. Again, using the damp sponge to apply. To powder my entire face and set my foundation I use the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in Sandy Beige. I use a Nude Flat Top Kabuki brush to apply. Now time to apply some cream highlighter. I'm using the Stila All Over Shimmer in Kitten. I pat it one my cheekbones and blend with a sponge. Next step is to bronzer and contour. I use the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil in Medium/Deep and the Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek brush to apply to below my cheekbones, jawline and temples. I apply the Nars Lustre Blush to my cheek bones with the Eco Tools cheek brush. I love this blush so much! I apply Mac Soft & Gentle Mineralise Skin Finish over the cream highlighter and on my nose, forehead and cupids bow. I apply it with the Real Techniques Setting Brush. The next step is to apply some mascara to my top and bottom lashes. I am using the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara. LASHES! I love these Mac lashes. I apply with some Ardell Lash Glue and tweezers (remembering to measure/cut them). And the final step is the lips. I'm using the Too Faced Lipstick in Melted Sugar and the Savvy Chestnut Lipliner. And that is the finished makeup look! I hope you enjoyed watching how I created this evening/clubbing makeup look. Comment below if you would like to see more makeup tutorials on my blog :) Mia
x Hey guys. In todays blog post I will be sharing some new things I got for Christmas and have bought myself during the sales. This isn't everything new, but just some things I wanted to share/rave about! Lush had some amazing sales on Boxing Day, it was definitely worth waiting in a line for 20 minutes... I bought Candy Mountain, Snow Fairy Shower Gel & Rock Star Soap. They smell so sweet! I got this cream highlighter from Stila, called All Over Shimmer. It is a beautiful golden highlighter that looks stunning on the tops of the cheekbones. I bought the Strawberry Hand Cream from The Body Shop with a voucher from Christmas from my aunty & uncle. I love the strawberry scented products from The Body Shop, amazing! I also got the Body Butter in Coconut from The Body Shop. Can you tell I love The Body Shop!? Phone cases! I'm currently obsessed with getting new phone cases. From Kikki.K I got this super cute phone case (left) on Boxing Day. It goes with everything and I love metallic gold right now. For Christmas I got this Skinny Dip phone case (right) that I have been wanting for months! Literally have had my eye on it since September... I got it from my dad and step mum. I adore it! Zara has some of the best smelling perfumes for the best price. Usually around $20 but I got mine on sale. I got the perfume Black Amber, smells very feminine in my opinion & I like to wear it on special occasions. This Christmas I got my first Tiffany&Co. box. I've always loved Tiffany jewellery and have been wanting something from there since forever. I got this pair of silver earrings that say Tiffany&Co. New York. They look great with every outfit and I haven't taken them off since I got them! From my mum I got this beautiful blush from Nars. It's called Luster. It's the perfect peachy-pink colour that suits my skin tone nicely. It is slightly shimmery which makes my cheekbones shine. Can't recommend this enough! These two Chi Chi palettes I got from my friend in Secret Santa. They are the Mochas and Timeless palettes. I have wanted these for ages and was going to go pick some up for myself before she gave me them. The are a great price and are extremely pigmented for drugstore eyeshadows. Thanks Molly! VELVET TEDDY BY MAC! The most raved about nude Mac lipstick. I have wanted this for soooo long. Finally got it from my mum and step dad on Christmas. I have been wearing this as my go-to everyday lipstick. It's like the colour of your lips but better! And finally, I asked for some Bath & Body Works candles for Christmas and I received! So happy because these are nearly impossible to get when living in Australia. My favourite one I received is the 3 Wick Paris candle which smells like Pink Champagne but sweeter! It makes my entire room smell incredible. Santa was very good to me this year.
I am so grateful of everyone around me for putting in so much effort into giving me the best gifts I could imagine. Christmas is my favourite time of the year & I love giving and receiving gifts to/from my family and friends. Thank you to everyone for making this Christmas a special one. I think this has been the best Christmas ever (I say this every year). This isn't everything I received so if I missed something someone gave me it's not because I didn't appreciate it! If I included everything it would be a very long blog post... Disclaimer: Not bragging or showing-off in any way. Can't explain how grateful I am for everything & I know not everyone is as lucky as I am. I constantly donate things I don't need to charities such as LifeLine. Christmas is a time for giving. Hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Years. Happy 2016! Hope you all have a good year. New blog posts every week so I'll talk to you soon :) Mia x Hi guys!
Can you believe this is my first post of 2016!? 2015 was an amazing year that flew by! It was my first year out of school. After graduating in 2014 from high school I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted to do with my life. I was stuck in school mode, thinking that after the holidays I would go back. But I didn't, I suddenly had all this free time that I didn't know what to do with. So I went to Tafe and studied a Diploma in Makeup. I studied all makeup, natural makeup, bridal makeup, wounds, cuts, bruises, characters, hair styling and everything in between. High school is meant to prepare you for life after school, it's meant to prepare you for college and living independently. But there is so many things I did not expect. Tafe is a step up from school but not quite at University level, so I wasn't expecting it to be that difficult. I had no idea how much work and effort went into becoming a makeup artist. I struggled slightly at the end because of all the pressure to succeed because if I failed that's it; thousands of dollars down the drain. Luckily I pushed through and passed every assessment. If I were to go back I would have told myself to start the written assessments straight away so I wouldn't be behind. I would have told myself how much work I had to do so I would be much more prepared. On December 5 2014 I posted my first YouTube video: November Favourites. I had an underwhelming amount of views which was a little disappointing; thinking I was going to become a internet sensation over night. I think I got four views in one day. It was discouraging to say the least. But I kept going, even through my makeup course, posting a new video every Sunday. In one year I hit 500 subscribers and made a lot of friends. 500 subscribers still is a small amount, however it is more then I could have dreamed of. I know if I keep working hard at something I will eventually succeed. Hard work doesn't go unnoticed and I know I can't expect to be everyones favourite YouTuber but if a make a few people smile that will be enough. However my dream is to keep going with YouTube and to make my channel grow so people all around the world can watch and learn makeup tips and laugh when I make mistakes. I have grown so much in a year mentally and emotionally. I've learned what makes me happy and how to be confident in myself, which is not something I could not of done without YouTube. Starting my blog has been a great way to express myself and share my passion for writing and makeup. I've been able to rave about amazing products and talk about the fun things I've done. I thank everyone for supporting me so far, I know I don't post that often as I find it hard to be constantly inspired with my writing. Whenever I do have little creative outbursts (like right now) I try hard to make the best blog post I can. I hope you appreciate that and continue reading. Some of my favourite things that have happened this year: 1. Becoming a whole lot closer with a group of friends that support me and show no judgement. Okay maybe a little judgement because we are all weird & a little crazy. You know who you are ;) 2. Turning 18, somewhat scary but an amazing feeling to be a legal adult. 3. Going to concerts! One Direction, Sam Smith & Ed Sheeran. 4. Travelling! I travelled overseas to England, Singapore & Edinburgh this year which was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, I have always had a need to see the world and I finally got to do it this year. I learned so much and can't wait to travel in the coming years. 5. For one of my friends birthdays we travelled down South and stayed in a little apartment overlooking the sea. We got up to so many fun things and it made me so happy to share that experience with the best people ever. 6. Hitting milestones on YouTube. As I said earlier: 500 subscribers!!! 7. My sister turned 3. My little best friend is growing up so fast, I love her to bits. 8. All my friends turning 18. We partied A LOT. Will never forget some of the funniest moments we shared this year. 9. Christmas & the New Year were two of my favourite celebrations. I spent so much time with friends and family and I am so sad the festive celebrations are over. December is one of my favourite months of the year. RESOLUTIONS: 1. Save your money. 2. Work hard. 3. Get fit & eat healthier. 4. Spend time doing things that make you happy. 5. Procrastinate less. 6. Learn Spanish. 7. Write more blog posts! 8. Read more books & expand vocabulary. 9. Do more to help charity. 10. Bake yummy goods without burning anything. How many of those do you think I'll actually do? I hope all of them... In 2015 I learned to spend a little more time making myself happy and less time thinking about what other people think of me. I've leant to work hard for what I want to achieve in life. I've learnt to depend more on myself then relaying on others. I've leant not to take anything for granted and I've leant everything happens for a reason. I've learnt that happiness is everything. And I hope that every year is as happy as this year was. 2015 was one of the best years of my life. I'm glad to end this year with no regrets. Thankyou for following me this year on my YouTube channel and on my blog. I hope you all had an as amazing year as I have and I look forward to the incredible adventures 2016 has in store for me. Good luck in 2016 everyone. Mia x With Christmas fast approaching, I thought it would be helpful to share some of my gift ideas for your family and friends. Luckily I've finished my Christmas shopping but for those who do not have too much time I thought I'd create a little gift guide that is super easy, doesn't require too much time or effort and is something your loved one with LOVE! Let's start with The Body Shop, they have some incredible gift packs that are pre-wrapped for boys and girls of any age. For a friend, sister or mother I'd recommend The Mango Bliss Box. It comes with a shower gel, body butter, body scrub, soap and bath lily. This comes in different flavours such as Strawberry, Coconut & more. It looks absolutely gorgeous! And no girl (or boy) can have enough stuff from The Body Shop. http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/gifts/mango-gifts/mango-bliss-box.aspx#.VnNORmDG7Vo Now for the men in your life. brothers, dads, boyfriends etc. The Body Shop does some great shaving gift packs. I don't know much about shaving but I feel like this is something all guys need. It smells good too! http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/gifts/modern-gents/modern-gents-shaving-kit.aspx#.VnNNv2DG7Vo kikki.K Also has some very cute gift packs for those who love putting pen to paper. My favourite is this one for the DIY lover. It comes with the Paper Lover's Book which includes stickers, bunting, wrapping paper & more. It also includes two different tape styles and an adorable pen! I love the style of this set and would appreciate getting this as a gift. http://www.kikki-k.com/sweet-paper-book-gift-pack-christmas-2015 Wow! Lush has soooo many beautiful gift packs. The hardest thing about buying a Lush gift pack is choosing which one! I guess it depends what the person you're buying for likes but my favourite is the Christmas Candy Gift Box. First of all the packaging is right up my alley, so pretty and colourful. Secondly the contents is amazing! It comes with Rock Star Soap, Snow Fairy Shower Gel, Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb, Candy Mountain Bubble Bar. I'm impressed. https://www.lush.com.au/shop/product/product/path/300_302/id/2275/Christmas--Christmas-Gifts-CHRISTMAS-CANDY-BOX-GIFT How adorable are these PJ's from Peter Alexander!? I asked for these for Christmas as I usually just wear an old T-Shirt and some PJ bottoms from Cotton-On Body... There's nothing really wrong with that because its comfy, but I wanted to have something cuter! I feel like every girl loves a pair of cute PJ's from Peter Alexander. http://www.peteralexander.com.au/shop/en/peteralexander/women/pyjama-sets/pocket-puppy-shortie-pj-set For those who love their music (AKA everyone) a new speaker for the house or room is a very practical and fun idea. I found this one which I think is the perfect speaker! All you have to do is put your phone on top of the speaker and press play & music fills the room... No cables needed! I know this is something my friends or siblings would love. http://www.amazon.com/Thumbs-Touch-Sonic-Bass-Speaker/dp/B00M1PSH02 This three pack of Dusk candles looks and smells beautiful! My go-to gift for someone who is hard to buy for is candles! Everyone loves candles. https://www.dusk.com.au/products/soy-gift-pack-creamy-vanilla-tropical-spice-coconut-lime-verbena If you're struggling for ideas for someone who is very difficult to buy for try looking at TV series sets... Everyone watches TV and if you know they love a certain show or have been wanting to watch a certain show then this could be the perfect give idea. Heres my suggestion for TV Shows: Game of Thrones: https://www.bigw.com.au/product/game-of-thrones-season-1-4/p/WCC100000000175605/ Friends: https://www.bigw.com.au/product/game-of-thrones-season-1-4/p/WCC100000000175605/ Next is this new Jamie Oliver recipe book, I was going to buy this for someone but turns out they already had it! I feel like anyone who likes to cook loves Jamie Oliver, so how about you buy them his new cook book: Everyday Super Food. https://www.qbd.com.au/product/9780718181239/everyday-super-food/jamie-oliver/?gclid=COjc_J3f5MkCFQl8vQodOAIAhQ The new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette is a must-have for all makeup lovers right now. It's such a gorgeous palette and is very popular with many great reviews. It is on the pricey side so if this isn't in your price range, try look at Mecca Maxima or Sephora stores for something else a little cheaper. Such as a lipstick from NARS or eyeshadow palette from Too Faced! http://mecca.com.au/hourglass/ambient-lighting-edit/I-022785.html?cgpath=gifts-giftguide-holidayheroes#sz=36&start=37 And that is all the gifts I can think of right now! I hope this helps in the lead up to Christmas and good luck with your Christmas shopping. I'm sure whatever you buy; your loved one will love. In the end it's always the thought that counts the most.
Side note: I don't believe Christmas is all about the presents, for me it is more about bringing family & friends together and enjoying each others company. So I really wish for everyone to have a magical day and remember to appreciate everything you have because others don't have it that lucky. I recently donated a bunch of clothes and toys to a charity called Lifeline, remember this holiday season is all about giving back, if you have anything to give don't hesitate! I'm sure someone will really appreciate it. Thankyou for reading & MERRY CHRISTMAS! Mia x Hi everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Hope you're all doing well! My friends & I travelled up to O'Reilly's Rainforest which is about an hour drive from The Gold Coast to check out the amazing views and rainforest. The drive up is quite scary if I'm honest, you're driving up right next to a cliff without rails. The roads are usually one lane road with cars coming from both directions and when you come around a corner you have no idea if there is another car coming from the other direction. I was glad my friend drove instead of me... But it is all worth it once you get up there! They have some amazing cabins with amazing views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Perfect for a weekend away/retreat. We stopped a couple times on the way up to take photos of the stunning views. We planned to stop at the lama farm on the way up, where you can feed the lama's for only $3! Unfortunately they were closed on Tuesday's and we went up on a Tuesday. *Cries* Once arriving at the top of the mountain (to my relief as I was feeling car sick) we got some lunch at the little cafe. We all got pies but as O'Reilly's is known for their bird feeding, the birds surrounded us and were not scared to get as close as landing on our arms & heads. I usually like birds but not when they're trying to steal my food... Haha After finishing our lunch we walked over to the rainforest and followed a trail to a waterfall called Picnic Rock. After walking for quite a while we started to doubt we were going to find it. We kept following the signs but had no idea how long the walk actually was and kept thinking "Maybe we took a wrong turn..." Soon we started to hear the waterfall which gave us hope, after running into an old couple coming back from the trail assured us we were going the right way. And the waterfall was very pretty, we sat for a while and rested while snacking on Malteasers & Skittles, which was probably a bad idea because it made us feel a bit sick... Next time we'll pack proper food. The walk back seemed longer and more difficult. Especially because we were tired and now were walking uphill. But we were looking forward to getting home. The walk in the end was almost 7km which is not something I do everyday. We weren't exactly prepared for that long of a walk, wearing thongs (flip flops) and normal clothes... Despite this we did have a really good day and was good to get out and do something different. I also vlogged this day on my YouTube channel, click the photo below to check it out :) Thanks for reading, I post on here every week so I'll see you next week. Mia x Hi everyone! Next up is my favourite body exfoliant by The Body Shop. It is the Strawberry Body Polish. I'm obsessed with this stuff. Smells very sweet and is gentle on this skin, leaves skin feeling cleansed and refreshed without making it dry. (Doesn't test on animals!) The Lush Blousey Banana Shampoo worked wonders for my hair. I've run out of it now but it really helped heal my hair and get rid of split ends. It is a shampoo especially for damaged, bleached or naturally fragile hair which mine is all three. It smells good, is vegan and doesn't test on animals! I have two favourite nail polishes right now, the first is the Avon Nailwear in Rave. This is a rose gold shimmery colour. The second is this natural pink/nude by BYS in scented light pink. Yes, scented, it smells so good! I recently got a new hair straightener from NUME and I LOVE it! It heats up to 230 degrees Celsius which is amazing and makes it way easier to straighten my extremely frizzy & curly hair in one go. It's nice and thin which means in creates beautiful curls too! I got the Megastar flat iron in black. I have two more hair products to talk about! The Original Tangle Teezer, I bought this recently and it is the best brush I've ever owned. It easily brushes through hairspray or badly noted hair! Perfect for difficult hair like mine. I also have been living for the Batiste Dry Shampoo. Yes is does make your hair white if you don't pat it and brush it out. This dry shampoo quickly soaks up any oils that make your hair look greasy with in seconds and doesn't make your hair feel stiff and un-movable. I love the smell too, coconut & exotic; tropical. Let's talk TV SHOWS! My all time favourite tv show is probably The Vampire Diaries & I'm loving the new series, so much twists and turns and DRAMA. I'm in love.
Limitless is a very new TV show out at the moment, it's based on the movie Limitless. It's really good. Very different to most cop/FBI shows I've watched. It's so funny & interesting. That is everything for my non-makeup favourites! Hope you enjoyed this blog post, let me know what your favourites are in the comments below. BYE :) Mia x Hi everyone! Now I have been getting a few new products lately that I wanted to mention since I love them so much, but also wanted to share some oldies that I have never stopped loving. So here is my current makeup favourites! Let me know if you want me to do an overall monthly favourites on here or my YouTube channel in the comments :) 1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Warm I love this product soooo much! It is the best concealer I've ever used, the coverage is incredible! You don't have to use barely any for it to conceal blemishes and under-eye dark circles and highlight at the same time. The colour is very light but blends out perfectly to match my olive skin. It feels very light on the skin and I highly recommend it. 2. Mac Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skin Finish I've owned this product for nearly a year. It has never failed to give me the most perfect highlight everyday. I fall in love with this product every time I use it. All of Mac's Mineralize Skin Finishes are stunning but for a pearl highlight; this is my favourite. 3. Models Prefer Minerawl Powder Soft Touch Glow 1 I have another 3 in 1 highlighter to show you. These three powders can be used alone as a blush, bronzer or highlighter or altogether. Blush colour: Summer Heat Highlight: Golden Glow Bronzer: Natural Tan They are all very shimmery and look very natural (somehow) on the skin. This is a cheaper/drugstore alternative to a lot of more expensive products. I love how the blush and highlighter look together on the cheeks! 4. Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in Strip Another highlighter/blush/bronzer. I got this for my birthday a few weeks ago and have been using it constantly. (Thanks Lois) The bronzer can be used as a lovely warm eyeshadow colour and I use it over the top of my contour sometimes for a more bronzed look - perfect for Spring/Summer. The blush in this palette is probably the most used colour out of the three, it looks so nice on my complexion, subtle but the colour can also be quite build-able. The highlighter is a gorgeous golden shade which is very different to the other highlighters I own, it's fairly sparkly and reflects light nicely on my cheekbones, nose & cupids bow. 5. Kiko Milano 05 Cream Crush This product is a cream eyeshadow and oh. My. God. It's gorgeous! It is a very shimmery/metallic pink toned silver. I always use the on my lid for a night time look or for a day time look I use it in my inner corner for a highlight. I have no words to explain how pretty this product is. 6. Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick in 402 Adrienne This is the perfect nude pink. I have mentioned this on my blog before but I still love the colour and it is incredibly smooth. 7. Mac Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Taupe This brownish-nude with a red undertones is becoming very popular! I hadn't heard about it before I bought but ever since people have been raving about it! Love!!! 8. Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner I've spoken about this liner before so I don't want to repeat myself, however this is the easiest liquid liner I've ever used which is why I love it so much. Highly recommend! 9. Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown This is a sculpting brow mascara which keep my brow hairs in place all day. Which is a must. Would like to try more brow mascara's as this is the only one I've tried and it's amazing! So those were my top 9 favourite makeup products I've been loving a lot recently. I hope you liked reading about my current favourite products and I hope this helped you decide if the product was worth buying!
Thankyou so so much for reading, let me know in the comments what your favourite beauty products are right now! Would love to hear about them so I can check them out too :) Until next time... Mia x Happy Halloween! Ever wondered how to make your own fake blood? Well I've got a recipe for you! It may be expensive/difficult to find fake blood in shops so I have a simple & quick recipe to create the most real looking fake blood ever. And all the ingredients could be found around the house. I learnt this recipe for fake blood from a makeup artist who has worked on many different movie sets such as Pirates of the Caribbean. Which is pretty cool. So that's how you know this recipe is one of the best recipes you could find. This fake blood is perfect for scaring your friends and family or using it for makeup on Halloween. The 3 2 1 Fake Blood recipe You will need: Three 350g Golden Syrup Jars Three Rose Pink food colouring Two yellow food colouring One or two drops of blue food colouring And all you have to do is mix these altogether in a bucket/bowl. You can also use honey or maple syrup as a replacement for golden syrup. The more blue food colouring drops you use the darker the blood will be, but just mix the drops in one at a time until you get the perfect colour. This fake blood is completely edible and it tastes really yummy! But maybe use gloves while making the recipe incase the food colouring stains your hands... If you want to make less blood, then just use one jar of syrup or honey, or even half a jar and then add less food colouring. It works just as well with less syrup. I used this fake blood in my Halloween joker/clown makeup tutorial on my YouTube channel so if you'd like to see how the blood turns out then click the photo below! Thankyou for reading!
Let me know in the comments what you'll be using the fake blood for and also what you'll be getting up to this Halloween, I'd love to know! Have a fun & safe Halloween. Mia x Hey guys! It was my birthday on Tuesday (20th October) & I turned 18! Still can't believe I am officially an adult... Not ready for the responsibilities at all. Anyway, I wanted to share what I got for my birthday since I am so grateful for everything I got. Disclaimer: In no way am I bragging or showing off in this blog post, I just love seeing what other people got for their birthdays so I thought it would be fun to share. First of all, my mum got a hotel for me and my friends to stay in over the weekend in Brisbane so we could go clubbing in the city! So that was my main present. Next is this necklace my mum bought for me which I have been wanting for ages, not sure what outfit to pair it with yet but am very excited to wear it as I don't have anything like it. Flowers! So many people bought me flowers, these were the only ones still looking alive when I took this photo, but aren't they gorgeous! I thought this little piggy bank was sooo cute so I had to include it. Next is some jewellery I got from my dad and step mum which I adore! I'm currently obsessed with rose gold jewellery and now I have even more. Mimco is one of my favourite stores at the moment. I got these earrings which I have been wearing to death, they are part of the limited edition collection. Then I got a matching bracelet and ring, which are stunning! They both say Mimco and the bracelet has the Mimco logo on them too which is so cute. I also got an outfit from Kookai that I don't have a photo of that my mum bought me for my birthday weekend. My relatives all sent me cards with a little surprise of $ inside. Which I'm so thankful for.
There are a few more presents that I haven't gotten yet so I don't have photos of unfortunately. So I'm going to end this blog post here. I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got for my 18th. I have had an amazing weekend with my friends in Brisbane and am very excited for the following year of being 18. Thankyou for reading! Mia x |
