Hi everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Today I went shopping and bought a few products from NYX cosmetics. I have only ever heard good reviews of NYX products and have been wanting to check them out for sooo long. So finally I did, since it was 30% off (most cosmetics) at Target. NYX products are already pretty cheap but I ended up getting all four products for about $25, which is amazing value for money. Let's start with my favourite item I picked up, it is the NYX Hot Singles Eyeshadow in Heat. I have no eyeshadows like this one and it is gorgeous, I couldn't leave the shop without it! It's such a pigmented shade, it's very shimmery & warm toned. I can't wait to wear this shade and do a makeup tutorial for my YouTube channel using this eyeshadow. The next product I picked up is the Soft Matte Lip Cream in the colour Istanbul. This is a very pink liquid lipstick. The consistency is super smooth and creamy but dries matte. It doesn't dry out your lips which is perfect! These next to products are the Roll On Shimmers. They are so sparkly and would look stunning on the eyes, on their own or blended out with other shades. Also cannot wait to try these soon! I love shimmery eyeshadows. First is the colour Chestnut and second is Walnut. Walnut is slightly less pigmented but would look nice over the top of a matte eyeshadow to add a little sparkle. That's all the products I bought! I need more NYX products to add to my collection! What NYX products would you reccommend?
Overall all of these products give incredible colour pay off and are a great price. Can't believe these are drugstore products! Hope you enjoyed my little review of NYX makeup, what do you think of their cosmetics? And what is your favourite product from NYX? Let me know in the comments :) Mia x

Click photo above to watch my YouTube video :) I love buying new things and nothing makes me more excited then sharing my purchases. I don't often go on shopping sprees, but when I do I make the most of it. I bought a few makeup products, a few pieces of clothing and accessories and some hair related items. So if you'd like to see what I bought then please keep reading! I bought two things from my favourite store at the moment - Dissh. As far as I am aware Dissh is only in Australia. I bought this black wide rimmed hat which is the perfect shape for my head. For once a hat actually suits me, so I had to buy it! I also bought a pair of black denim shorts, because I only have one pair of denim shorts in my wardrobe that I wear. And I feel that denim shorts are an essential item for the warmer seasons. Hat: http://www.dissh.com.au/product.aspx?id=1628 Shorts: http://www.dissh.com.au/product.aspx?id=7265 This pair of swimmers was bought from city beach, I don't usually buy matching bikini's because I like to mix and match them. The top has this beautiful green leaves pattern which I adore! I love colourful swimmers. And the bottoms have cut outs which I thought were a little different to your average black swimmer bottoms, they will also go with lots of other swimmer tops I own. (Sorry I couldn't find links for these items on City Beach's online store...) :( I bought a pair of thongs (flip flops/jandals/whatever you call them depending on where you're from) and a pair of sandals from Rubi Shoes as I don't really own any. And since it's getting a lot warmer here in Australia, I thought they would both be perfect for the beach. The sandals are a suede material and have the cutest little tassels on them! Thongs: http://cottonon.com/AU/p/rubi/rubi-thong/2043120203096.html#q=thongs&start=1 Sandals: http://cottonon.com/AU/p/rubi/cambell-fringe-sandal/2041659902367.html#q=sandals&sz=48&start=49 This cropped, black, long sleeved top is from General Pants Co. I think it is the favourite thing I bought because I have been obsessed with this style of the tie up at the front. It's super light material; perfect for Summer. Top: http://www.generalpants.com.au/shop-womens/don%27t-ask-amanda/fashion-tops/tie-front-boho-top-black-1000057736-001 Now moving on to the beauty products. I bought the Batiste Dry Shampoo in coconut & exotic tropical. This is my favourite dry shampoo, it works so much better then the other expensive brands of dry shampoo I've tried. It's so affordable. Dry shampoo: https://www.priceline.com.au/brand/batiste/batiste-dry-shampoo-tropical-400-ml I thought I'd try out the Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Conditioner as I have heard amazing reviews about how good this product is for your hair. I have ombre hair which makes the ends of my hair quite dry, hopefully this will put some moisture back into my hair. Can't wait to try it out! Conditioner: https://www.priceline.com.au/ogx-luxurious-moroccan-argan-creme-conditioner-385-ml I've also heard some really good reviews about the Tangle Teezer, it is an expensive price for a brush but it is really good. Not sure if it is really worth its price, however it does work to brush out hair spray so that you don't have to wash your hair after using it. This is 'The Original' Tangle Teezer. Brush: https://www.priceline.com.au/tangle-teezer-original-panther-black-1-ea Yay, time for makeup! I bought a bunch of different eyeliners as I had ran out of all of them. From Maybelline New York I bought the Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner, this stuff runs out really quickly but I still love it. Then I also got the double sided Big Eyes Liner, one side is black and the other is white. Double sided pencil: https://www.priceline.com.au/maybelline-big-eyes-liner-3-g Liquid eyeliner: https://www.priceline.com.au/maybelline-master-precise-liner-in-blackest-black-0-5-g Up next is the Essence (cheap as chips makeup brand) Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Hot Chocolate. I've been really into brown eyeliner at the moment as it is a little less harsh compared to black eyeliner. This particular brown eyeliner is very creamy and pigmented! (I'm wearing it in these photos) Brown eyeliner: https://www.priceline.com.au/essence-long-lasting-eye-pencil-0-3-g I've also been obsessed with brown lipstick so I picked up the Mac Lipstick in Taupe. I'm wearing it in this colour, it appears a bit darker on my lips then in the stick, however I also used brown lip liner. I love the quality of Mac lipsticks and I can't wait to wear this one. Lipstick: http://www.maccosmetics.com.au/product/shaded/168/310/Products/Lips/Lipstick/Lipstick/index.tmpl I needed a new pair of lashes so I just bought the Ardell Natural lashes in 120 Demi. These are similar to the Mac lashes I always buy but a whole lot cheaper. They are a flattering shape for my eyes are a very fluttery & wispy. Lashes: https://www.priceline.com.au/ardell-fashion-lashes-120-demi-black-1-pair I have been wanting to try out this concealer for ages as a lot of people use it and say good things about it. It's the Maybelline New York Age Rewind Eraser. It has a sponge applicator which is a little unusual yet interesting. I'll let you know what I think of it in upcoming tutorials on my YouTube channel. Concealer: https://www.priceline.com.au/maybelline-instant-age-rewind-eraser-concealer-5-9-ml Last but not least, I had to pick some Bondi Sands Fake Tan as I used up my last one. I always come back to this tan as it is my favourite. Fake tan: https://www.priceline.com.au/bondi-sands-bondi-sands-self-tanning-lotion-dark-200-ml Thanks for reading, leave me comments on your favourite item I bought in this haul :) Mia x Hi again! Welcome back to my blog. Hope you are enjoying my blog so far. Thanks so much for reading. I recently bought the Too Faced Cat Eye Palette and thought I would do a review of it. Just in case anyone was thinking of buying it. I own two other Too Faced eyeshadow palettes and I adore them. I have the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar. They both have very pigmented colours that are long-lasting and beautiful. So I wanted to buy another palette since I love the other two so much. It has in total nine different colours. Three of the colours can be used both wet and dry and the rest are just dry powders. The colours are split into three sections: - Day: Purrr, Tiger's Eye & Leopard - Classic: Meow, Pussy Cat & Jungle Love - Fashion: Kitten, Kitty Glitter & Panther The colours Leopard, Jungle Love & Panther are the wet & dry colours. The palette is the perfect travel size and has a small mirror inside as well. Isn't the packaging gorgeous!? I always love Too Faced packaging! The palette, like all Too Faced palettes, comes with a how-to guide on applying the eyeshadows with three different looks. I think this is great for inspiration and makeup beginners. I swatched the eyeshadows below so you can see how they look on the skin. The purple colour called Pussy Cat is my favourite because it is so different and not something everyone would wear, it is also one of the most pigmented shadows. The product is AUD $48. Pretty pricey for such a small product if you ask me. However most eyeshadow palettes in Mecca are over AUD $50... My final thoughts on this product, it's something a little different. I like how it has both matte and shimmery colours. It includes something for an every day look and for a going-out night time look. It easily fits in my makeup bag which is perfect if you're on the go. I ♡ it. Do you like Too Faced products? If so, would you buy this palette? If you already own it, what is your opinion on it? Until next time, Mia x Hey!
How are you? Now, let's get straight into it, today I'm talking about my favourite makeup brushes. I picked 5 from my little collection to share with you. First brush is from Crown Brush, it is the C222 Round Contour brush. I love it because it is a multi-use brush for the eyes. I use it to add dimension in the crease, to blend out eyeshadow colours, to apply eyeshadow on the lash line and smoke out the colour. Sometimes I use it to highlight the brow bone and in the inner corner. Definitely a brush I couldn't do without! Secondly, a brush I bought from Zoeva, one of my favourite brush brands. It is the 231 Luxe Petit Crease, I use this every time I put my makeup on! I mostly use it to put eyeshadow in my crease. Love, love, love it. The next brush is from Real Techniques, the Setting Brush. It is my newest brush purchase, I have been using it to set my concealer with a highlighting powder. I also use it to do a sharp contour because it works really well for contour; surprisingly. What did I do without this brush!? The fourth brush is also from Real Techniques (I swear everybody has this brush), it's the Expert Face Brush. I used to use this to apply foundation but after purchasing the Real Techniques Sponge I have swapped to apply foundation with a sponge because it's quicker. So I've found a new use for this brush, applying cream blush. It is perfect from blush! Okay, last but not least we have another Zoeva brush. It is the 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek brush. I have had this brush for a long time and it works well to apply bronzer. Sometimes I use it to contour as well but it's a bit too fluffy and thick for a harsh contour. However, this brush and bronzer go together like strawberries and chocolate. Yum... Did that make you hungry too? Anyway, thank you so much for reading. That's all I have to say for now, have an amazing week :) Mia x Welcome back to another blog post. How was everyone's weekend? This post is about some things I have kept over the past few years that I have good memories connected to. I don't know why I am obsessed with collecting & keeping these things but I can't help it! So why not share them? My One Direction ticket. Obviously a very good memories. It was my first and only concert of theirs that I have attended, back in February. Seems like so long ago now! Click the picture to see my vlog of the concert on my YouTube channel, it was an amazing night. So glad I got to see them while Zayn was still in the band. This is an appointment card for my first MAC makeup appointment. Doesn't sound that exciting but at the time it was, since I was an aspiring makeup artist and I was getting my makeup done for my grade 12 formal. This is my Big Day Out ticket from 2014. Big Day Out is a one day festival held in a few different cities around Australia. I'm not sure if they do it anywhere overseas. It was my first festival and it was incredible! I saw Snoop Dogg, Major Lazer, Flume, The Lumineers, Tame Impala, Bliss N Eso, Mac Miller, Pez & Peking Duck. Can't wait till the next BDO! This photo was taken in the Photo Booth of my grade 12 formal with Lois, @lo_bullen on Instagram ;) The only photo I really got in the Photo Booth at formal because I was busy dancing, which is unfortunate because we were photo bombed... (Thanks Tom, LOL) This was one of the best nights of my life. This tickets look so old! Probably because they are, but I don't save my movie tickets as much anymore. Only if they are really good movies I guess. Who else collects movie tickets? Is it just me? Avicii concert was amazing! It was around the same time as the Big Day Out festival, one of the best Summer's ever. This was my little sister Tilly when she was younger, she is now 3 years old with blonde, long, curly hair. I can't believe she had black straight hair when she was a baby... So strange. But isn't she a cutie! This is my Schoolies ID pass. If you don't live in Australia then you probably don't know what Schoolies is. It's basically a massive one week party to celebrate graduating school for good. It happens in a few cities around the country and a few surrounding countries if you want to travel. The main city is where I live, so I went & stayed in the Hilton for a week with 5 other girls and partied on the beach in Surfers Paradise. Take me back please! This is my hotel room key from the first cruise I went on. This was quite a while ago (2011) and I can't believe I've hung onto it for this long. It was with P&O cruises and I went to New Caledonia - Lifou & Noumea and also Vanuatu. I had such a good time and the boat was amazing. I went to the Cabaret De Paris show at Jupiters Hotel & Casino the day before my 16th birthday as a birthday present. It was pretty fun, I'd never been to anything like it. This is a ticket to an AFL game my friend & I went to when we were bored one Saturday night. Neither of the teams are mine but we didn't really pay attention to the game, instead we made friends with the guys next to us and got a selfie on the big screen. Makes me want to go to another AFL game, too bad the season is almost over.
Well that's it! All of these little memories seem like they were all from a long time ago. But I am in the process of making new memories and collecting things like this. Maybe I'll do another post when I collect more, maybe next year. Thanks for visiting my blog, let's discuss our good memories in the comments below :) Mia x Hello, today I will be sharing my most used lipsticks. I use these constantly! Hope you enjoy and this gives you some ideas on what to pick up next time you're in a makeup store. I have a mix of drugstore and high end products, so continue reading!
First up; Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick in the colour 402 Adrienne. This is the perfect natural shade. It is creamy and soft on the lips, a beautiful everyday lipstick. Next is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in the colour 48. It is a dark nude shade, one of my absolute favourites right now. It says it's long lasting but I do have to re-apply during the day. However it is a very moisturising lipstick and looks good with almost any makeup look. Another Rimmel London Lasting Finish lipstick I love is the Kate Moss number 30. It is a stunning berry colour. Super moisturising like the previous one and smells so good! Works well with the Rimmel London Lasting Finish lip pencil in 06 - Wine. This Mac Lipstick was bought for me as a Christmas present last year by my friend (thanks Lois) & it has lasted me so long even though I wear it all the time. It's the perfect pink shade and stays on for ages! It is in the colour Love Lorn. I fall in love with it every time I wear it. A good dupe for it is the Sportsgirl Pout About It in Beauty Queen. A Mac Lipstick, again, in the colour Dark Side. Similar to Rimmel London in number 30 although slightly more brown and less berry toned. This was the first dark colour I ever bought and I love how it looks. Perfect Winter shade. The last Mac Lipstick I wear all the time is in the colour Lady Danger. This is a popular morange (red & orange) shade. It's the only matte lipstick I'm sharing today and is very long lasting. It is one of those colours that stains your lips and won't come off, which can sometimes be good and sometimes not. But I adore it. It is one of my newest Mac lipsticks. The final lip product I'm sharing today is today is the Revlon Colour Burst Matte Balm, it's basically a jumbo lip pencil. Except it's really creamy and smooth. It's in the colour 225 Sultry. These are super easy to apply so definitely check these out! And it smells like peppermint! Thanks for readying everyone, leave a comment about your most used lipsticks so I can check them out. Mia x Hi guys,
~ The photo above is from last Spring, 2014 ~
It's the 1st of September. Spring, you have been missed! Although Winter is one of my favourite seasons, I did miss the beach and wearing cute, colourful clothes. My favourite things about Spring: 1. It's my birthday! (20th October) 2. Tanning by the pool with iced drinks 3. Some days can still be a little cold 4. Bring back the colours! I incorporate Spring colours to my everyday outfits, nail polish & makeup 5. Everyone seems to be in a better mood in Spring Even though here in Australia it doesn't get too cold during Winter, we still get to cuddle up in bed and drink hot chocolates every night. Which is my favourite thing to do. However after three months of cold weather I am beyond excited to get back out in the sun and enjoy the beach. I hope that this Spring is the best Spring ever. I am turning 18 very soon, which means I am going to be a legal adult. I can't believe it. I still feel like I should still be in high school or something. Being a legal adult in Australia means I will have to vote on elections (eh), be able to buy alcohol & enter clubs (yay), get married (absolutely not), get a tattoo (probably not) and move out of home (maybe). Some of these things seem really scary. But also very exciting. I love Spring. So many things to look forward to! What's your favourite thing about Spring? Let me know in the comments below. Mia x |
